Business Education

The national Developing the Young Workforce agenda places understanding of careers, core transferable skills and business at the heart of the curriculum.

The range of subjects taught in the department will ensure young people have the necessary knowledge, skills and understanding to go on to succeed academically within the subject and with key lifeskills for the world of business. A hands-on investigative approach will develop decision making, enquiry and communication skills and, indeed, we hope to sow the seeds which may result in some pupils starting their own business. Pupils will gain experience of modern technology and software as used in commerce and industry today.
